Red Deer, AB –  Team Keith’s got a taste of what Team Kazakhstan felt like at the WJHC Monday night, as the team opened the second half of the season with a 9-1 loss and conceded the game after just 4 ends.  Team Keith’s put up just as many goals as Team Sweden did against the Canadians as they played a very strong team, led by the More brothers (Bob and Rick).  Although the More brothers have trouble growing hair they don’t have trouble making their shots.  Team More is one of 3 new teams to the B side, as they found themselves on the short end of the stick, or rather the broom, in the first half of games played on the A side.  Team Keith’s surrendered 5 points in the first end as it was obvious the effects of tryptophan from too much turkey consumption over the holidays was affecting the team.  The team got on the board in the second end but that was as close as they would get as the More brothers put their foot down and continued to score points at will.  It appeared effortless as Team Keith’s couldn’t respond to the all-star caliber shots being made by their opposition.

Alexander Keiths Speaks:  Team Keith’s record drops to 3-5-1 and their 3 game winning streak is over…Skip Ryan Metzger was a drunk scratch on the night, he joined a group of 12 other friends for a trip north to watch the Islanders lose to the Oilers, he was replaced by Kelly Wilson (father of third K.Zimmerman)…Wilson admitted to not having his strongest game but he didn’t have much to work with as each of the other members on the team were playing with a handicap…Lead English was weighed down by the ring that can now be found on her left hand (Skip Metzger stepped up and proposed to his now fiancé over the holidays, congratulations to Ryan and Dianna)…while second G.Zimmerman was still suffering from a holiday hangover (too much Keith’s)…Third K.Zimmerman has been extremely tired of late and hasn’t been getting adequate sleep in recent days (more to follow on this developing story)…Following the games the More brothers agreed that there is a strategy behind their reverse Mohawk hairstyle… “we grow our hair like this on purpose, with the new fluorescent lighting in the RDCC it creates a real nice glare in the eyes of our opponents.” Said Skip Bob More…It was announced after the game that the third on Team More is leaving today for provincials…

Alexander Keiths Around the Rink: The second half of the season sees the top 3 teams from the B side move to the A side, while the bottom 3 teams from the A side make the switch to the B side.  Team Metzger, Team Shelly and the College team have made the move to the A side, while Team Marfleet, Team More and Team Hall are the newbies on the B side…Team Dufresne started strong but then fell apart and lost their first game of the second half, “I don’t know what happened out there?  I just don’t know?”  said a confused Brad Dufresne on his way out the door…Sheets 5 and 8 saw a pair of close games and at press time no final scores were available.  When you concede the loss after just 4 ends you successfully have enough time to go to the lounge, have a post game drink and leave the rink before all the games have finished.
