Red Deer, AB – For the first time in 2009 Team Keith’s won a game, and in convincing fashion as they walked away after 5 ends with an 11-2 WIN!
After losing the coin toss the team rallied to steal 3 points in the first end. They would give up a pair in the second as Team Dufresne got on the board but in the 3rd end it was all Keith’s as they put up 4 more points and took a commanding 7-2 lead. “Even the recession hasn’t hit my business as hard as Team Keith’s hit our team tonight.” Said Skip Brad Dufresne, owner of the Phone Experts, following the loss. “I wasn’t about to lose 7 in a row. I’m an Oilers fan and I know how MacT must feel when a team goes into a funk but I didn’t want to join him in that type of company.” Responded Skip Metzger.
Alexander Keiths Speaks:Team Keith’s record improves to 4-9-1 with the victory, after losing a team record 6 in a row…Skip Metzger went 2-1 in pregame foosball at the Zimmerman residence, while Lead English was 1-1, G.Zimmerman went 0-3…Skip Metzger was excited by the pregame meal (taco salad), ‘sweet, I can eat the bowl thing!’, however he forgot to eat the bowl…G.Zimmerman wore a Calgary Flames hat during the game, much to Metzger’s dislike…K.Zimmerman was overheard complaining of minor stomache pains, perhaps the baby inside her was trying to help out with the sweeping last night and has started to move…Alandra Dufresne didn’t make the game after just completing a 9 day ski trip…Lori and Bernie of Team Dufresne threw 3 rocks each in her absence…Skip Dufresne tried drowning his sorrows with a fruity pink cooler following the game…G.Zimmerman traded in his track pants for jogging pants last night and will wear them again next week in hopes of making it 2 in a row…With a bye next week the team has agreed to get together next Monday, the ladies will be doing crafts, while the guys are planning a ‘Mantracker Marathon’…Skip Metzger claims to have close to 20 episodes taped and ready to roll!
Alexander Keiths Around the Rink: When you finish a game as quickly as Team Keith’s did Monday night it’s difficult to get FINAL scores from the other sheets…However, I think it’s safe to say the More brothers won…AGAIN, no signs of them slowing down anytime soon…as long as they keep using the shampoo that’s made them famous they should finish unbeaten for the second half of the season…The team of dentists found themselves between a cavity and a canker as they were locked into a close game that had them leaning on their brushes a little harder than normal (recommended when sweeping, but not recommended when brushing your teeth, may cause gum soreness)…The Jamieson rink appeared to be in command of their game on sheet 3, but things don’t always appear as they are, they might have won they might have lost…not sure?
