Facility Director
1. Attend monthly Board of Director meetings.
2. Provide written reports to the Board of Directors.
3. Attend semi-annual and annual Shareholder meetings and provide written reports.
4. Meet with the General Manager on a monthly basis to coordinate a monthly review of all minor and major repairs to the facility. The Director is to keep informed regarding addition equipment that is required by the staff.
5. Coordinate with the General Manager in regards to all renovations of the facility.
6. Hold a position on an expansion committee.
7. Assist the General Manager with Contractor negotiations.
8. Coordinate with the Director of Volunteers regarding assistance for repairs and renovations.
Bonspiels, Ice and Draw Director
1. Attend monthly Board of Director meetings.
2. Provide written reports to the Board of Directors.
3. Attend semi-annual and annual Shareholder meetings and provide written reports.
4. Meet with the General Manager to coordinate dates, entry fees, prizes and formats for each club bonspiel.
5. Confirm existing sponsorship and recruit new sponsorship for club bonspiels.
6. Create budgets for each club bonspiel and review with the General Manager.
7. Be aware of the number of entries in all club leagues and confirm that the suitable draws are made.
8. Assess the quality of ice and the needs of the Ice Manager on a regular basis and discuss this information with the General Manager.
9. Assist the General Manager in coordinating the Club Championship in the spring.
10. Coordinate with the Director of Volunteers regarding assistance for bonspiels, playdowns, etc.
Finance Director
1. Attend monthly Board of Director meetings.
2. Provide written reports to the Board of Directors.
3. Attend semi-annual and annual Shareholder meetings and provide written reports.
4. Assist the General Manager before the curling season starts in preparing a budget for the approval of the Board of Directors.
5. Work with the General Manager throughout the year to keep up to date regarding the budget.
6. Be available to counter sign any cheques valued at $500.00 or more.
Promotion and Fundraising Director
1. Attend monthly Board of Director meetings.
2. Provide written reports to the Board of Directors.
3. Attend semi-annual and annual Shareholder meetings and provide written reports.
4. Develop and implement fund raising ideas.
5. Coordinate with the Director of Volunteers regarding assistance for implementing ideas.
Junior Program and Clinics Director
1. Attend monthly Board of Director meetings.
2. Provide written reports to the Board of Directors.
3. Attend semi-annual and annual Shareholder meetings and provide written reports.
4. Meet with the General Manager to review the junior program on a monthly basis.
5. Coordinate the dates of the junior and adult clinics with the General Manager.
6. Coordinate with the General Manager regarding Level 1 and 2 coaches clinics.
7. Set junior curling league fees.
8. Assist the General Manager in finding a Junior League Coordinator.
9. Organize the junior program with the General Manager and the Junior Coordinator.
10. Confirm with the Bonspiel Committee and the General Manager all junior bonspiel dates and fees.
11. Coordinate with the General Manager and the Director of Bonspiels regarding the budgets for all junior bonspiels.
12. Assist the General Manager and the Junior Coordinator with organizing the Christmas and year end functions.
Volunteer Director
1. Attend monthly Board of Director meetings.
2. Provide written reports to the Board of Directors.
3. Attend semi-annual and annual Shareholder meetings and provide written reports.
4. Prepare a volunteer application for the current season.
5. Supply volunteers to other Directors for all areas when needed.
6. Assist the General Manager in the selection of volunteers for the yearly award. |
